KARAK/TAG GIN

Karak or Tag Gin was a working idea for a gin meant to attract young, hip consumers to the gin market through the use of graffiti imagery. While “Tag” is an artist’s brandmark, Karak is slang for character, and thus these designs make use of both the distinct lettering and illustration styles found on city streets around the world. The lettering and illustrations were heavily influenced by such renowned graffiti artists as GATS in Oakland and Canser in Czech Republic, while many of the color palettes are inspired by popular street wear of today.
